Temperature is way off
AnsweredThe temperature reading on my Karoo 2 is at least 4-5 degrees Celsius too low. Am I alone here? An indication like: hot, cold, nice is as accurate as my device. Stange that the basic functions like speed, distance and temperature are so hard to cover.
Oh, and the auto update function that was fixed is still broken.

@Lee A Dorney, if is 0 is 0, can't be -6. Right? I would undertands +/- 1degC, but not more.
I know what are you trying to say with that "wind chill" stuff, but I also stopped for like 15min and there was no wind, and the temp was still -6degC. Didn't rise, not even by 1degC. Wanted to test if there is any deviation between going 25-30km/h or standing still. It was none.
Anyway the point being, K2 on many occasions shows temps way off as it should, many said that here.

Truth is, no bike computer is anywhere near accurate. I think garmin suggest +/- 2 degrees BUT can be far worse for example if the device is left in day direct sunlight OR near other heat sources which are extremely different. Many garmin users, dispute this level of accuracy. There is a known incident with on of their devices where for some the device was continuously 4 degrees low for some users, they put in a fix which resulted in the device continuously being 4 high for a hell of a lot more.
As an example on a run, my watch temperature readings become ridiculous the longer a run.
There is also the case of is the temperature at that location what you think it is.
I don’t have the issue you see, so maybe its more problematic for some than others.Tbh the best approach for anyone who wants anywhere close to accuracy on any computer would be to get an external temp sensor which they can determine the best place to put it. And then, it will only ever be ambient temperature readings anyway
