Turn notification icons - too small and unclear - suggestion...
Hi - as a new user to Karoo (2 rides in) I thought I'd share one problem I have with the device and suggest a potential solution.
My eyes are not great at near vision so I am struggling to see the turn icons, the main issue being with the T junction icons which are totally illegible to my eyes, I have no idea which way I am meant to be going unless I have the whole map screen up.
This is a representation of what it looks like to me...
When your on a bumpy road travelling at 30kmh+ I don't stand a chance of working out which way I'm going.
I'd like to make two suggestions..
Revised T Junction icon, use something similar to this...
And another suggestion would be to make the icons larger overall and to put them on the side of the screen that you are turning. So on left turns the arrow appears to the left of the distance to turn but on right hand turns the icon appears to the right of the text...
For those with less than perfect sight I believe this will make a huge difference to the usability of the navigation features of the app.
Would be interested in your thoughts on these ideas!

So I do not see well at close distance either so I now have these on my sunglasses for riding and non riding. They go on with water and can be removed and reapplied easily. You can also trim them to size. A total game changer. Zero issues seeing anything on the K2 or my Garmin’s previous to the K2.

Yes absolutely fix those turn arrows. And to agree with Benno, I think a review needs to be taken of the overall readability of the UI whilst riding. Data fields are OK, but there are many other areas which are difficult to read with just a quick glance while riding. No point having the very clever SLS tab, if you cant work out what's going on with a quick look. UI is likely designed by youngsters with 20/20 vision (designed to look premium and to sell), but ultimately used by a bunch of middle - aged cyclists (with middle-aged eyes, bouncing down a pot holed roads), who given the premium price are probably karoo 2s main user group.
Hammerhead have an opportunity to tweak the UI, and create a best in class interface with readability and useability at the fore.
I love my Karoo 2....

I could not agree more! I have the self-same problem. In the first few iterations of the Karoo software, the icons changed several times, and some were better than others as far as being able to see them. Your suggestions on how to change them for the better for us optically challenged folk, are just brilliant. Even if a combination of moving where the icons appear on the screen along with a size increase or a colour change, or both, would give us a chance of being able to read them while riding. Please, please, please take note of this thread excellent Hammerhead team!
