3D printable karoo adapters available here...
Hi ya'll, I'm really digging my new Karoo 2.
I initially purchased it because my trusty Edge 830 won't work in Taiwan without lots of hassles and I'm moving there for a few months. But OMG I like it a lot more than the the 830 (which I'm going to sell on ebay) - mainly because of the screen and great maps.
My bike is a recumbent (without 'handlebars') so I needed to make a custom mount. In case it is useful for anyone else, I've placed the 3d printable mount (including its source design files) here.
I tried to split out the actual karoo 'adapter' as a separate printable part, so it might be usable in other applications. Also the design files are public, editable and in onshape - which is a free web CAD app, so probably pretty easy to customize for other applications.
Someone here had kind enough to upload STLs of the stock karoo adapters, but they were not well suited for printing on FDM printers. Instead, I broke out the calipers and tried to duplicate the stock adapter but as something a bit more fitting for 3D printing.
I hope this might be useful for someone. Really digging this GPS.
