Maps are not displayed when indoors
Since one of the latest updates, both Karoos (2 and 3) no longer display maps indoors after startup. Sometimes they appear after 30 to 45 minutes, sometimes not at all.
Hammerhead support tried to explain this by saying there was no GPS signal, but as you can see in the photos, none of the other devices have a GPS fix at this time.

And until this winter, both Karoos displayed the offline maps indoors immediately after startup.
It doesn't make sense to me that offline maps can only be displayed on a device when a GPS fix is available. I need the GPS signal to show my position on the map, but the maps are downloaded and stored on the device itself, and I also don't need a GPS fix to download them.
I used the offline maps to compare maps, check that they were up to date, and perform a second check when planning a route on Komoot.
Has anyone else experienced the maps no longer being displayed indoors?

Hi All, Thank you for your valuable feedback.
I appreciate your insights and have reviewed them. I’ve shared your input with the product team for further consideration. You raise a valid point regarding the map not displaying when the device is unable to determine the location, especially indoors. Since the system lacks a confirmed position, it also cannot initiate map rendering. The team will look into it. -
Thanks to the development team, the latest update fixed this issue for me; now the maps are displayed even when there’s no GPS fix indoors.
If only this solution could be implemented on the Karoo 2 as well, even though no further feature updates are planned for the Karoo 2. But I think this solution would be very welcome among Karoo 2 users (I still own a Karoo 2 myself).
