Karoo 2 - no fit files directory
CompletedHI all.
Tired by Garmin, 'I've just buyed an used (like new) Karoo 2.
Today I've had the first ride; very happy about it.
All devices works well (Powertap G3 + HR + speed & Cadence sensor)... 3hours ride and 75% residual battery.
I try to download .fit file to manually upload Golden Cheetah and to do that I set the device to developer mode/MTP transfer.
Opening Karoo Internal sharing storage folder I do not found Fit File directory.
Here you can see my folder
The ride is on my device and Uploded to Strava, but i'm not able to find the .fit file.
Any suggestion?
Thanks a lot
Alberto

Or just download fit file from dashboard.

I have exactly the same issue.
K2 received 5 days ago. It auto-updated as soon as turned on (which is the normal behaviour).
Then, I used it for 3 rides and I do not have a "FitFiles" folder in local storage via USB and MTP protocol. I have exactly the same folders shown in photo above by OP.
I wrote to support because this issue is annoying for me (request id #91671) : after a few questions and investigations, they said that a few users complain about the same issue and they investigate further...

Hi everyone, I understand that the FIT file folder is missing from Karoo 2's internal storage for some of you. As we have received multiple reports, we have escalated this case to the software team and they are looking into it. Once I have more information from them, I will keep you posted on this.
As of now, we request you download the FIT file of the ride from the Hammerhead Dashboard.

Same problem here with my brand new Karoo 2. It does not sync files and there is no FitFiles folder once connected via USB. Otherwise I absolutely love this device. I've had 5 Garmins over the last 14 years. Finally bit the bullet and dropped Garmin. So glad I did, this device rocks. Yeah a few little bugs, I'm sure you'll straighten out in time, cheers

@Steve: You have to choose MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) to transfer data between Karoo 2 and computer and it will be available to select once you connect Karoo 2 to PC. You have to use a data cable for this and not just a charging cable.

The issue with the FIT files missing from the FIT file folder and the folders missing from the Karoo 2 internal storage is something we are working on for a fix. It will be released in one of our upcoming releases.

Once this change has been tested and approved for release, it needs to be rolled out ASAP, and not wait on the usual schedule. It is unacceptable to charge people this amount of money for a bike computer that cannot upload to Strava, which is what every cyclist wants. Right now my K2 has this a.m.'s ride on it, but it's not uploading to the dashboard or Strava, and the ride isn't visible in the fit files folder.

Hi Hari, When I've had this issue of the missing fit files, I can see the ride(s) in question the ride history on the head unit, but I can't see the rides in the folder after I've faffed with the settings to enable MTP (from the default charge only). Something seems to have happened in a March update that created this bug. I can only hope this fix can be done with relative ease and pace. If you all would like to set the default setting to MTP instead of charge only, that would also be a wonder and welcomed change so I and we don't have to faff with the extra settings each time you want to manually upload a ride. Thanks!
