Soumitra Dutta: How do I fix Karoo phone connectivity problems?

My name is Soumitra Dutta, and I am an entrepreneur and photographer based in Oxford. I'm having trouble connecting my Karoo to my phone. The device either won’t pair or keeps disconnecting. Has anyone experienced this before? If so, how did you fix the Karoo phone connectivity issue?

  PHONE WILL NOT CONNECT. Same problem. Been sitting here for a LONG time trying to get my phone to connect. Bluetooth is on. New Karoo that arrived yesterday refuses to connect to the phone . It says "awaiting connection." If and when I scan the QR code, it gives me a six-digit code, that code does nothing. Then it sends another code. That code does nothing. Then it tells me to install the companion app. Endless loops of nothing.
