@Spencer: We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We can help you to sort this out.

Could you also please try the following troubleshooting steps and see if that alleviates the issue or not?

    > Sometimes Electrodes on the Heart Rate Monitor may not be moist enough. Could you please detach the Heart Rate Monitor from the strap, moisten the electrodes and re-attach it to the strap?

    > Could try to reset the HRM?
To reset your heart rate sensor:

    1. Remove the battery.
    2. Press the metal snaps that attach to the strap with your fingers for at least 10 seconds.
    3. Wait 30 seconds and then put the battery back in.

Please let me know your findings after checking the above steps. If the issue still persists, please write to us at support@hammerhead.io with the FIT files of the affected rides and the serial number of your Karoo 2. In this way, we can look into it further and help you with the right resolution.

I can confirm mine is behaving similarly. It seems to get stuck for a period. The other day when under no real strain and feeling fine, it suddenly showed 240 then sat there for ages before dropping back down to something and working.
I've seen it on both K2 and fenix so definitely the HRM. Unsure if Comms is getting lost and my devices aren't showing that hence last value or if something has gone wrong in HRM

I'd also add the strap seems to work itself looser than others I had so maybe this may have an impact?
