Add the official Swiss national cycle route network (SchweizMobil) to Karoo navigation
Hi Hammerhead team and community,
I'd like to request native support for Switzerland's official cycle route network on the Karoo — ideally as a selectable map layer and as routable, follow-able routes.
What I'm asking for
A dedicated map overlay (and routing support) for the Veloland Schweiz network maintained by SchweizMobil — the national, regional and local cycle routes.

Why this is a strong candidate
- It's an official, government-backed network, not a crowdsourced one. The routes are physically signposted across the whole country (national routes use single-digit numbers on red signs), so a rider following route 4 on the road can match it directly on the Karoo.
- The data is published as open data via opendata.swiss under the Swiss Geoinformation Ordinance, compiled together with the Federal Roads Office (FEDRO), SchweizMobil, and the cantons — so it's authoritative, maintained, and licensable rather than something the community has to reverse-engineer.
- It covers the entire country with thousands of connected points, which makes it genuinely useful for both touring and everyday navigation.
- Swiss riders currently have to plan in the SchweizMobil VeloRouter and then export GPX manually. Having the network selectable on-device would remove that step and let the Karoo route along the signed network the way it already does with its existing map data.
Nice-to-haves if feasible
- Show route numbers/labels on the map so the on-screen route matches the physical signage.
- Option to route along the network rather than just display it.
This would make the Karoo a much stronger choice for anyone riding in Switzerland. Thanks for considering it — happy to help test.
