Internet issue despite full 5G/LTE coverage
It's well known that Karoo doesn't work offline, but it should work when the smartphone has a cellular connection. Unfortunately, I've experienced numerous instances where, even with full cellular coverage (5G or LTE), I still can't sync routes and trips. All apps work on my phone—web browser, email, Strava, etc.—but Companion App has a persistent problem (internet issue), and Karoo refuses to sync. The only solution in this situation is to enable a hotspot. At this point, Karoo syncs with the server without any problems, the ride appears in Strava, and the routes are uploaded to Karoo. So, the cellular connection works because Karoo uses it via a hotspot, but Companion App can't sync as often.
When will Hammerhead fix the sync problem and Companion App?
