Increased data use?

My data plan (the free Freedompop level) is showing much more data used in the last month than in the past. This is surprising, since I was out of town and had the SIM removed from my Karoo 2 for around a week of that time. I'm showing 22 MB used; I think it's normally less than half that.

Any thoughts?
