LR Balance not viewable from FIT files recorded by Karoo

Raising a new post on this.  The original question was considered 'answered' but is still an issue for users (https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/community/posts/1260802566169-Power-balance-not-recording) so I'm not sure it will be looked at again.  The root cause is that Hammerhead doesn't strictly follow the ANT+ spec for this parameter when it writes FIT files, with the result that users can't access L/R balance data when uploading files to Garmin Connect (who wrote the spec) or Golden Cheetah (who are very strict about following specs).  This should be a straightforward fix for the developers, so I'm hoping it can be fixed without much trouble.

  I guess it depends on the app as i see mine on intervals.icu and training peaks, as well as the HH dashboard. I have the assoima duos as well and a K3.

  That's the point of having specs for data which have been agreed across the industry - it's easy for vendors to bring out new products and customers aren't limited to only using particular combinations of hardware and software.  By ignoring one tiny part of the spec, Hammerhead have broken compatibility with a number of apps and are effectively expecting every app producer to make a specific fix for them outside of the agreed standard.  Makes no sense.  I'm loving the Karoo 3 - hands down better than my old Garmin and they're really good at rolling out fixes and updates but this one's been hanging around for a few years.  It's frustrating that I can't get the data I need (spannered my ankle so I'm trying to rehab back it to where things were before), so I've gone back to using the Garmin for the time being.
