Power meter fields - latency/delay and averaging
AnsweredHi
I'm trying to do workouts to power on the karoo 2, and I noticed some latency/delay between putting the power down and the numbers changing on the device. I'm using a single-sided 4iii crank power meter.
Does anyone know the delays between changing power at the pedals and it showing up on the screen? I imagine some is in the power meter, some in the device.
- Instant power seems to have a ~1-2s or so lag
- The graphical power display (square power zone widget) appears to have a longer delay
- The same graphical widget maybe using 3s average or so.
Does anyone know more on this (hammerhead folks!), or experience similar (users :) ) ?
cheers, Duncan.

Hi Duncan, We haven't seen any similar reports from other riders or throuhg our own daily testing and rides. Instantaneous power should be displayed within 1s, and graphical may have slightly higher than 1s delay due to the calculations that it may require.
If you are seeing this to be beyond acceptable behavior, I would request you share a short video clip with our support team in an email to support@hammerhead.io.
