Di2 hood buttons
AnsweredThe settings for the hood buttons on my Ultegra Di2 are the typical L hood - Rear Up and R hood - Rear Down. I haven't played with the K2 integration to the wireless system beyond it showing me the gear selection in various profiles. I read https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/360051706614-Shimano-Di2-integration?source=answerbot&auth_token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJhY2NvdW50X2lkIjoxODQ5OTgxLCJ1c2VyX2lkIjoxMjYyOTQ2NzE1OTkwLCJ0aWNrZXRfaWQiOjY0NDcwLCJkZWZsZWN0aW9uX2lkIjoxMjYwODMyNzU1OTQ5LCJhcnRpY2xlcyI6WzM2MDAzNzUyODc1MywzNjAwNTI0OTA4NzQsMzYwMDUxNzA2NjE0XSwidG9rZW4iOm51bGwsImV4cCI6MTYyMDkyOTc5M30.S4gs85B4BBy8wEz4WdyTQfoiHfFALfmYoVe99lqoZIw
and I see what I'd like to try, that being L hood button to swipe the screen left and the R hood button to swipe it right, but what do I need to change in either E-Tube and/or the K2 settings to make that happen? I'm guessing I'd use D-Fly channels 1 and 2 for the two functions, or is it handled in a single channel? If somebody can knock out a quick step by step on the Shimano and Hammerhead ends of the connectivity for me I'd be most appreciative.
Thanks!

Sure Edgar, I'm happy to.
I have the EW-WU111 wireless module option on my setup. What follows requires that wireless connectivity to your bike be Bluetooth and functioning normally. I'm going to presume anyone wanting to change their Di2 setup this way already knows how to connect to it using the E-Tube Project Cyclist app. I didn't try it but I presume a USB connection from a Windows PC would also allow these changes to be made. Obviously you'd still have to have Di2 wireless install on your bike to connect to the Karoo head unit (or any other compatible bike computer) in the first place.
My Ultegra Di2 was already paired to the K2 and reliably displaying the live chain ring/cassette gear combinations as I rode. The hidden hood buttons were set to be "cassette shift up" (larger cog) on the left hood, "cassette shift down" (smaller cog) on the right hood.
Using E-Tube Project, select your bike then one or other of the shift levers in the discovered hardware list. Tap on the item for the hood button (Button A by definition). Mine showed "Rear Gear Up" on the left hood button A and "Rear Gear Down" on the right hood button A as previously set. Change the left hood to be "D-FLY Ch.1" and the right hood button to "D-FLY Ch.2" in the software and save the changes to the bike.
That was it. I started a ride on the K2 and pressed the hood buttons one at a time and the screens slide left and right as expected with no change to the K2 firmware settings.

Sherwick,
The 4 regular brake lever switches (2L/2R) continue to function as usual. The covered topside "hidden" L/R hood buttons will take on whatever function you set them for, but they can't perform two functions simultaneously. If you want them to shift gears then that's all they're going to do.

Sorry, there are no suggestions.
If you had visited the Ki2 github page you might have read the dev's warning that the latest HH update broke quite a few things and advised not to update if you still wanted Ki2 to work correctly.
Anyone who updated will need to hope the dev can fix the breakages.
