Syncing routes and rides

Hello,

I am currently considering purchasing the Hammerhead Karoo 2 as replacement for my Wahoo Element Bolt V2.

In many ways it fits the bill, but I think there are some main compromises for me.

One thing is obviously battery life, but i think I should be able to handle that on the few very long rides I have during a season.

Another thing is lack of companion app and the reliance on wifi (or a cabled connection) for synchronising routes and rides. In this regards I have two questions:

1. Ride With GPS

If I setup a connected account to Ride With GPS will my pinned routes automatically be sync'ed to the device? Or will I need to do anything more from the HH dashboard?

2. WiFi Sync

I will be setting the device up to the WiFi from my home. But sometimes I might not end the ride at home but want to have the ride uploaded. Can I have multiple Wifi networks created on the device? (such as the hotspot I can create on my cellphone + my home network) so that I don't need to change Wifi settings all the time?

I am asking because my current device only handles one Wifi network at a time but have a companio app that works with bluetooth.

Hey,

For the RidewithGPS - the routes do not sync automatically on the Karoo. You will have to press the "sync now" button on the Dashboard after pinning them on the other platforms.

For the Wi-fi - yes, you can connect to multiple wireless network, even your phone hotspot and save them on Karoo for auto-connect just like on any smartphones.
