Feature Request: Trainerroad integration
PlannedLooks like the previous question on this was a while ago. When can we see some native integration between these two? On the trainer road forum in April they said this "Integrations like this take collaboration from both parties. Requests for Hammerhead functionality are increasing, so we’ll take another look to see where this sits on our priority list and check-in with Hammerhead.
It was the only choice I struggled with between a new garmin and the Karoo 2. Based on the frequent updates I figured it would only be a matter of time.
My work around now is digging into my training peaks workout archives

Interesting workaround until fully integrated (hopefully) like on wahoo and garmin...is to actually SIDELOAD TR actual mobile app. It works fairly well.....for what it's worth. Could be better of course, but being an android device, the TR mobile app runs just like it was on a 3" mobile screen :)
Do some google on how to do this if interested. Don't have details at the moment, but it was quite easy.

Ive used the XERT app which is fine, but I have Garmin lights that turn on with each ride if using the native Karoo app, not with XERT. I have radar, which will beep, but not show up on the screen while using the XERT app. Recording the ride with XERT only shows up in Strava, not on my HH account. Perhaps I am just not using it correctly but I miss those pieces. If I wanted to spend the first part of my ride doing all the workarounds I would have stayed with my Garmin. While the back-end stuff worked great, I would constantly have trouble with devices connecting, and phone messages coming through..
For winter, no issue, I like my indoor rides to stay separate so storing them in trainer road is perfect.
I was a beta tester for Everysight Raptor. Too bad they didn't get bought by a cycling-focused company because their interface and workout layout was amazing,

+1 for TrainerRoad integration. Currently after the recent integration of AXS web and support for TireWiz sensors, this is the single aspect of my Karoo 2 that I find disappointing vs my previous Wahoo. I've had a few frustrations with software stability but that seems to have improved now. If we got TrainerRoad fully integrated I would be fully satisfied!

Is there any update on this? I do trainerroad outside workouts a couple times a week. Every time I do I have to switch to my Wahoo ELEMNT Roam.
It’s getting to the point where I hardly switch back to the Karoo 2 because I have to change mounts.
It’s at the point where I’m considering selling the Karoo 2.
Can you please provide an update on when this is planned for? -
The device is poorly integrated with Training Peaks.
For example, if you use the Favero Assioma Duo pedals the balance data is distorted when you put them in Training Peaks.
I reported this bug to Hammerhead a few months ago and they verified what I'm saying is true, but they haven't asked Training Peaks to fix it.
They should require their partners to fix malfunctioning services, otherwise they are providing a poor service to their Hammerhead Karoo users.

I was wondering if this was related. When using Garmin I had to switch my data field to average power as it was impossible not to have it beeping at me constantly trying to maintain one specific power goal.
"We’ve introduced four new data fields for Primary and Secondary targets when following structured workouts. Each of the Primary and Secondary fields have “Target” and “Actual” fields respectively. These fields will update automatically based on the workout you load on your Karoo and the Primary and Secondary targets of that workout."

Hi, Has there been any news on this? Today's release didn't have anything. All that's needed really by most of us is and account integration not unlike Training Peaks, or Strava. Just so that if a workout on the TR calendar is marked/designagted as "outdoor" it shows up in the workout drawer, so we can load it.

Yeah! I have it all set up. I followed trainerroads recommendations on a layout but would love some improvements on the workout screen. as the next step. Can’t wait to give it a try. I know it sounds like “never happy”. Totally not the case, I just know me, if I can find a reason not to follow a workout, I will:). Thanks for the hard work. Switched from Garmin a few years ago and haven’t looked back
