Messaging for K2 with SIM Card

I've been using the K2 since April and love it, and it keeps getting better and better. I do have a SIM card installed (Tello) enabling live tracking which my spouse actually uses. It feels like that SIM card equipped K2 should be able to do a lot more and that not doing more is a missed opportunity.  A simple send/receive messaging app would be great. Sideloading Uber even better.  Now that the K2 is reliable and I don't need the phone backup, it would be great to not carry the phone. Guess I could get an Apple Watch with cellular.

But seriously ... are there any plans to add some sort of messaging?

  It is possible to sideloading Android apps to Karoo. I'm using Telegram Messenger (Forkgram app, as it does not require Google Maps for Location sharing features) and Apple Music on my Karoo 2.
