Rerouting not using shortest way back to the route
AnsweredWhen I am following a route, and let's say I just missed a turn and take the next one, or I just go 100m in the other direction, as I want to refill water.. the K2 reroutes immediately, but not just back to the route.. sometime very big detours and sometimes completely different routes, sometimes even next to the original route. Sometimes it even is the original route, but still red..
Seems that since one of the latest updates, the rerouting is a bit off..
Did anybody encounter something similar?
Thanks

Yes, I confirm, just stop for a photo, walk a few meters from the route and everything turns upside down. In many similar devices, you can adjust the distance at which the device should change the route, for example 300 m from the planned route. However, the best option would be to be able to activate or deactivate this system yourself.

Thanks. Good to hear, that there is an improvement...
I guess not only the timing.. once I am on the route, it should be the original route again..
I also had it several times, that I started a route.. just a few meters before the actual starting point.. when I crossed the starting point, K2 wrote: end of route reached.. I needed to start it again... or it would show double the distance remaining.. stuff like this happens more often then before...
Thanks

Hello,
in addition, is there a way to indicate to K2 that rerouting has to be done through paved road on via Gravel mode ?
Or there is a default mode ?
perhaps, is it linked to the choice done when route was designed ? (Pavement, Gravel, Trail). And in case of no route choice, but only when "going to home" or "go to that pin" ?
May be a missed some option...
Regards,
JL.

The latest update didn't improve the rerouting.
Yesterday I just missed a turn and took the next one.. it was just around a small church.. so it was a triangle to the same street again.. the original route would have then turned in this street left. And I already was on the same street again. But still the rerouting wanted to let me turn right and take a completely different route for some time.
It should really just bring you to the original route in the shortest possible way and detects quicker, if you are on the original route.
