Change the color of data fields
Not plannedIt was a good update if the color of the data fields changed according to the value, if we were close to the limit (power, RC) change it to red, to get the user's attention
-
I can only support this! The datafields look really ancient on the Karoo2. Font is boring, screen estate is not used in the best way, etc.
Submitted this request as well some times, just look at Wahoo. Colour coding data fields is great. Power zones, heart rate zones, climb grades, etc.
Look at Wahoo datafields, you cant get a better example on how this should be done. -
Dear riders, We understand that ability to see and customize the colour of Data field is something you would like to see on Karoo 2, and make the full use of Karoo's screen. Currently, there are no immediate plans for it, however, I will ensure Product team considers this for the future.
I’m going to pass along your request to our product development team so that they can consider this moving forward and weigh it against our current priorities.

@Hari somewhat confusing that superb feature requests like those get the status not planned. Also like Dustin mentions above I would like to know on what HH is focussing.
It's not because this feature already exists for other brands (Wahoo) that HH should not develop it.
Look at the climber feature HH released.Currently also Wahoo users have it and soon they will also see the upcoming climbs without a route.
The K2 has an amazing screen where this feature would benefit a lot of.
Coloured datafields for cadence, power, heartrate, speed.
Or maybe only start with power and heart because you can use the user defined zones for that and build further on that.

Playing the devil's advocate here for a moment.
While I would LOVE to see a road map with some planned features and priorities.. the last time HH gave a 'sneak peak' at something (the K2), we faced long delays and had many issues to work with. I love the K2 but the first 6 months with the device underwent a significant frustration period - (ie: not receiving any phone notifications which was promised at launch). I think HH is likely going to be a bit more cautious in throwing timelines/promises around - If I was them, I'd be hesitant to do so as well.
I'm not saying either way is right or wrong, just my perspective on the issues with providing road maps. -
@Brandon with the K1 they had a road map and yes it was one big dissapointment. But still today with the experience they have I think they can come up with something which meets us consumers in the middle.
I assume that internally at HH they know what they will release in the next updates because they are currently developing it.
Anyway a roadmap could be nice. Yes it puts pressure on HH to stay on track but then again, we, users will also know what to expect or not.

Pedro saw this poll a while back on fb? Here you'll find the results. Organised it out of curiousity to see what people would like to see. 20% of the people gave it a vote.
