Feature request : live tracking message

Hello, I have done some long rides recently, one was Paris - Luxembourg in a day to visit my brother. During these rides I shared the live tracking link to my family and friends. The feedback I had is they they all loved the feature and some had it open all day checking where I was going. Some said that they wish they could have sent message on it that could have been displayed on the Karoo. Although it was not major it took us a while to figure out why the figure were wrong, it was not metric. If it’s not possible to change to metric yet, could it be possible to at least display the units some people are just not used to imperial units at all and didn’t even know what the unit for elevation was.

    I have not tried it in a while, is tracking actual tracking? or a dot on the map with no indication how you got there?

    Also, they can't make SMS work and show up, this wounds like a far reaching ask.

    I doesn’t show the path you’ve taken (which would be quite nice) but it still shows some metrics like distance done, average speed, ETA,..

    It might be a far reach but I’m still throwing the idea here. Phone notifications worked for me but I turned it off a while ago. I prefer to have it a vibration on the watch that I’ll check next time I stop otherwise that’s too many notifications not related to cycling coming to the Karoo.

    Garmin and Wahoo both show your path as you ride.  One of the reasons I use my Garmin again is my family enjoys "tracking" ... not "pointing".  If I vary from my route, Karoo is just a dot in a field. 

    My comments on phone notifications was based on my (and others) ongoing frustration with making a simple feature work properly.  Apple, Garmin, Wahoo, FitBit - and literally every other wearable on the planet - do it correctly, but we've now had THREE updates to "improve" it, and it still doesn't work.

    While it doesn’t show the path take it shows the route if you have loaded one on the Karoo so at least that’s something but yeah the actual path taken on top of it would be better
