The Companion App makes it easy to share your location with friends or family while you ride. Auto Share allows you to add email contacts who automatically receive a live tracking link when a ride starts.
Note: Live tracking updates are available for both new Karoo and Karoo 2, but require internet connectivity via Companion App or hotspot/SIM card.
Prerequisites:
- Download the Karoo Companion App here.
- The connected phone should have an active Internet connection.
Turn Live Tracking ON under Settings on the Karoo, then use the Companion App to share your Live Tracking Link with others.
Auto-share can be setup via the Companion App settings.
Added contacts will automatically receive a live tracking link when a ride starts.
When tracking a rider, you can see where they have ridden.
You can only add up to 3 Email recipients
You also have the ability to share a 24-hour link. This link will expire after 24 hours.
