    Thank you for the update.

Can you already tell us which e-bike systems will be supported?

@Pietje: The eBikes which support ANT+ LEV are the ones that will work with Karoo 2 after this integration is released

I believe it was initially announced for January, now the post has been edited and release is planned for early this year. Do we know the month ? We are eagerly waiting for this, you must realize that eBikes are the hottest thing right now, don’t loose this train.

Dan, the plan is to release as soon as the development and a thorough testing has been conducted. We know eBikes are one of the most requested integration request we receive. We are still under development so we will announce the month when we think it is ready.

But you should try to respect deadlines as well if you want your customers and future customers to trust your company, especially since you’re a new company trying to fight the big ones for market share. I believe it’s taking an extremely long time, with extremely huge delays for such an easy feature, it’s a matter of displaying some fields over ANT LEV, not some rocket science; I am developer myself. It probably took a shorter time to develop the whole Karoo2 itself...

Guys this is getting ridiculous, I should have purchased a Sigma computer to interact with my Fazua e-bike. You have promised us  some sort of integration  since a year ago

The biggest problem with my FAZUA was the not working speed sensor.
By adding a separate speed sensor before the FAZUA solved the problem for me.
From FAZUA now cardance and power is working fine. So I am a little bit relaxed now.

Currently this feature is released only over standard ANT+ LEV. We will learn more about our rider's requirements over time.

Ali looks like you have a lot of requests for Fazua/Porsche integration which is BLE can you look at introducing that

Remmie, our Product team is aware of that and depending on the requirements as well as the efforts required to build that up is entirely on them. Rest assured, we have passed on all such requests and upvotes to the Product team.

    I already submitted a ticket!!

First test ride for the e-bike integration.

The range field never did anything, just sat on .6. Also the 20M power was no good, not sure why.

Als there was significant battery drain for no reason.

if a particular data field shows as "No eBike" and all the other eBike data fields display the relevant information - it means, that particular eBike is not transmitting this data type. This has been demo'd on this article: https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/12869408525851-Karoo-2-E-Bike-Integration

Hi Ali , I have another question with regard to Fazua BLE implementation

as it is currently, Karoo does capture the speed, Candance and power with no additional code changes, also on the sensor screen you have the sensor battery level so this is also captured, just needs to be displayed on the main layout screens.  The only thing that is missing is the assist level and it is not difficult to get that information as Fazua broadcast it with the rest of the information so can that be added to the layout screens?

The Fazua system does have ANT+, but they have not released an update to support the E-Bike profile LEV (light electric vehicle). On doing some online research they initially released Fazua systems with the ANT+ chips installed but were not active. They later released a firmware update to enable ANT+ but did not add the LEV profile. They could add this at a later time, but we do not have information on that. As of now, there are no plans for eBike BLE support, but we hope this will be considered by our Product team in the future, also hoping the eBike manufacturers start supporting the standard LEV profile.

Which ebike specific data saved to the FIT file? (Let's assume the bike sends all the data which are Karoo can manages)

I'm using a Specialized Vado 3 with the K2 and the integration is still not working - even after the latest software and firmware updates.

Main gripes: inaccurate (or dubious at least) power readings on ECO with 25/100 assist, EXACTLY 1:1 rider/motor power on TRAIL with 50/100 assist and zero motor power on TURBO with 100/100 assist.

Also, that really irritating yellow bar graph/banner that comes up a second or so after you change assist level then completely obscures the display underneath it for about 10 secs before disappearing, having served no apparent useful function. What is it there for? What does it do or indicate? HH - please get rid of it!

Other forums suggest BT may be the way to go if you can't get Ant+ LEV working properly. If so, then bring it on, please...

    @Kristóf:

We can see that these are the three metrics related to e-Bikes that are available in the FIT file for the supported e-Bikes.

    • Estimated Range

    • e-Bike battery

    • Assits Level

I have Fazua 50 which does not have the ANT+ hardware and there will be no external hardware released for it as well. The company has fully moved on focusing on 60 and future generations.

But I think it should be possible to at least receive the motor battery percentage as a data field. It already can be found under the sensor details (which is apparently a power meter battery status), but I have to manually navigate it every time.

I think this feature can be treated as any sensor battery status and not just Fazua system. I have Assioma power meter pedals as well and it transmits the same data, but it's not available as data field on Karoo 2.
