Cellular set up - hammerhead karoo 2
AnsweredHi,
No matter where I look online I can't find any documentation that details how to set up the cellular functionality on the hammerhead karoo 2. I already have a cellular plan (voice and data) that works fine in other devices, however, when I enter it into the hammerhead karoo 2 is simply doesn't recognise it and come up with a list of network providers. I've even tried specifiying the provider details manually e.g. MMSC, MMS Proxy etc. but makes no difference. I am based in UK btw, on the Three network.
Regards
Tony

I'm also having this same problem. Frankly, I do not understand how a company can develop software that runs on a device and has such inadequate user manual information. I'm trying to get this issue solved through Hammerhead support, but they don't seem to understand the issue (perhaps they also don't have documentation).
My specific issue is that I can get connection to the network, partially or completely filled triangle, but when I try to test down or upload of a route or ride, it does not work. This feature, on which I partially based my purchase since the Karoo does not have an app that easily allows up/download from a companion phone app, simply doesn't seem to work!

I am having the same issue and getting sparodic responses from Hammerhead support. I have a UK Sky sim card on 4g (but it does have the capacity to upgrade to 5g which I know they dont accept) Karoo 2 recognises the sim and Sky network but thats where it ends. Rides wont upload to strava until I am home and on wifi.
Is there a problem with my set up? Is there a problem with Sky sim cards? If it is the sim then I need to know so that I can cancel my contract in the cooling off period. If they have issues with some providers then at least provide a list of UK providers they know will work. Still no further forward despite initial communication with Hammerhead a week ago. Frustrating
