@Kim: Sorry to see this. We are extremely sorry that we do not have the option to send the internal cable separately as it comes in-built with the unit. We hope you understand.

Can I have the data sheet of the cable? I will try to fix or make the cable for Karoo.

    Please.

    Hi Kim,

I have the same problem and have been trying to do some soldering today, unsuccessfully so far as I haven't been able to find the same type of USB jack so I'll need to put wires in. The cable is quite simple as it needs only four connections, the only trouble are the extremely fine traces. I took some microscope pictures already; if you need, I could make a list of what USB line goes where. If I remember correctly, pin 1-12 on the rectangular connector are all GND, +5V is on 13-20; thes others I haven't traced yet.

If you have a good cellphone repair place, they might be able to fix it. Actually I got mine done once already, only now I need a new jack because I screwed up the old one with epoxy in an attempt to mitigate the crap design that puts almost all the load from the plug on the solder joints.

    cheers,

    Matthias

    Hallo Matthias,

    Thorsten
