    Hey Oliver.

Currently, we do not support e-bikes and I am sure you would be knowing it. But I would like to make a point here that we will look into it in the future. However, I am not confirming this at the present.

I am interested in e-bike integration as well.  The controller on my Orbea road bike is very basic and I would love to be able to display battery charge and assist level on my Karoo2.

I too am very much interested in being able to see e-bike battery level (and what assist mode I'm in would be a bonus).  This is available or the Garmin Edge and Wahoo Elemnt.  As more and more riders switching to e-bikes, this is an important feature.  I have a Specialized Turbo Creo SL.

Looking for eBike support on a Bianchi Aria.  I know the Wahoo units supports it.

Just updated my Bianchi Aria e road bike to Ant+ LEV dongle. Very disappointed to find out that Mahle Ant+ will not connect to my Karoo 2.  I do not want to use Mahle ebike head unit to display battery information.

I lost my Shimano Di2 last month. As a former Garmin 1000 user, I have loved my Karoo 2 and believe that it to be a superior head unit. Hope Hammerhead will get this added soon.

I’m waiting on ebike support as well. Might have to move on to another head unit. Sad 😞

I was exploring my options and found the Yahoo Roam was on sale. Very good deal. I can’t believe that I’m going backwards on what I believed to be a great product. It always seems to happen to a technology company that is bought out by a corporation to add it to its eco system.

Yeah it does seam wrong… it just does not seam that hard for them to add this. We need to put more pressure on hammerhead

That would certainly be my alternate choice as well, especially at the sale price.  It has a lot of great features and for the increasingly larger audience of E-bike users, nicely integrated ANT+ LEV compatibility. I currently use a Wahoo Elemnt Bolt on my E-bike for that reason.

Thanks David for the information on Wahoo. I didn’t even look at the Bolt. Which one would you prefer? Now this is funny and sad at the same time. We are talking about which Wahoo device is better on the Hammerhead/SRAM general community support. Please fix this.

I was referring to the Wahoo Roam as the better choice.  I am using an older (and smaller) Wahoo Elemnt Bolt on my E-bike, since I had it before I purchased the Karoo2. I use the Bolt instead of the Karoo2, so I can monitor the battery level and miles remaining, etc..

Absolutely would like to see LEV ANT+ support. The latest updates were enough of an improvement that I'm toying with the idea of switching from being a primarily Garmin 830 user to a primarily Karoo user (A big deal, because recently I was thinking about selling my K2 because the pre-SRAM updates were very disappointing). Lack of LEV ANT+ support is one of the few areas remaining in my book where the Garmin has an unequivocal advantage.

I've been a Karoo user since the first Karoo 1 model. It' a great unit. As I get older I'm now the owner of a Trek fuel ex-e. It would be great to see LEV integration on Karoo2!

Hi All, we are currently working on a e-bike integration and will be able to share more details in the coming weeks. This is still in an early internal only test phase.

It's a great news! Let me know if it's possible to be involved in beta testing. I'll be happy to try it with the fuel ex-e. And it will be great if it could allow the setting of levels of assistance, switching on and off assistance and using "walk" setting too. I think that Garmin has a remote that allows that.

    Nothing news about the ebike-integration.

... my Orbea Rise with Shimano Steps is waiting.

    Ki2 (app/addon/plugin for Hammerhead Karoo 2 devices) - it´s not the solution,
the last Release 5.0 is from Mai 2023.

I´m user of the first time - sorry, but at the moment I don´t think that I will buy the next coming Karoo ;-(

I've had the Karoo2 for about 2 years. I had another model before (Garmin Edge 1030) but I switched to karoo because of its features. June 2024 I bought the new Orbea Rise H10 2024, my first eBike. My surprise was enormous when I realized that I cannot detect the bike from the Karoo2, not even to know how much battery I have left. What prevents Hammerhead from developing that integration like Garmin has? I don't want to use my bike in these conditions, I'm considering going back to Garmin.

... the reason - the competition Shimano <> SRAM

... Shimano forbid the further use of the Shimano ANT protokoll

... with the K2 there is a workaround with the Ki2 App
    https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2022/12/hammerhead-karoo-2-shimano-di2-workaround.html
    https://github.com/valterc/ki2

--> but there is only information about battery level and Di2 shifting components
( ... no further integration for Shimano ebikes. )

! At the moment it´s not possible to use the Ki2 App with the K3 because of the missing SDK from Hammerhead !
