Too late for me. Because of this and so many other basic features missing I sold mine and bought a Garmin 840.

Coming from Wahoo (since 2018) and am currently evaluating a Garmin Edge 1040 and the Karoo 3. I love the usability and UI of the Karoo, but the missing Apple health sync together with the missing Calorie estimation makes me think about whether I should go with the Garmin instead. I‘m out of the age where I made hard workouts and analyzed data in sophisticated tools. I just want all my basic stuff simply in Apple health and I want to see the closed red circle on my Apple watch after riding my bike.

What is happened when the sync to Suunto is enabled? Which data will the Suunto App write to Apple Health?

I use RunGap with Auto Share to Sync Hammerhead to Apple Health. Works fine, easy setup, cheap in cost.

I have asked this since my previous Hammerhead.  Now that I have the Hammerhead 3 and the iPhone companion app there should be no reason not to have this basic functionality that even workout apps that cost 10/year have.  I might have understood when Hammerhead didn't have an iPhone app as it seems some of the ease of writing to health kit lies there, but now that there is a native iPhone app I don't understand what the barrier is.  We should be forced to use yet another app like syncmyride or Healthfit to read the hammerhead data and sync to apple health.

sorry, SyncMyRide is now defunct.  I use Healthfit.  I have to go to the hammerhead app and download the fit file to Healthfit which will sync to apple health

I've given up hope that Apple Health integration will come at some point.

And I don't want to wait that long either.

That's why I use RunGap, which synchronises perfectly and is worth the 17 euros or whatever it costs per year.

I just got my Karoo 3, and the lack of Apple Health sync really is a glaring issue.

I have so many little free apps that sync to Apple health for things like steps, weight, etc…it’s strange that the best we can do is sync to Strava, which **does not pass full info** to Health, especially when we have a companion iOS app already passing the workout data from the unit.

well i just realized that sync not exist after the first ride with Karoo 3. It should not be a problem to add this integration while there is companion app.

I agree now that there is a companion app, but yet we are still waiting.

Can anyone from @hammerheadSupport just let us know what the priority status is on this ask?  is it on the list or will it never happen?

Today I synced my first ride with the new Apple Health integration and I'm really disappointed.

The power and heart rate data are missing.

    Very disappointing.

What about the workout route (the map) - is that transferred? I don't see it in the list which would be a deal breaker for me.

The route is synchronized, that's fine.

In my Health Data, there is no route. It seems like they only transfer workout metadata like duration, avg hr, avg power but not the workout itself. I think this is because the workouts are not transferred from the Karoo to the app in the first place. What you see in the app is actually a web browser representation of your ride data on the hammerhead server.
I am also disappointed in this lackluster solution. We waited years for what should be a two day job and got something that looks like a solution but actually isn’t. It is a key feature to be able to archive your own health-related data in a trustworthy place like apple health in a convenient way. Instead, we’re forced to upload our data to all kinds of cloud providers to achieve this.
