    Hi Joe,

Great idea. I don't believe we have come across this suggestion. You are correct that you need to connect via trainer id, and not the power id but it is not possible to drive based on the elevation data. It would be cool to do so though!

You can, however, set the resistance and the slope if you connect via trainer id.

    Ali,

Thank you for the quick response.  I can stop looking for a way to do this for now, but I bet a lot of people would really enjoy this since indoor riding has become so popular.  I think there are some PC/Mac programs (Rouvy, maybe) that can do this, but being able to do it all from the K2 would be awesome.  That and TrainerRoad integration are top on my wishlist!

I'll be hooking it up to my bike for the first time for a short outside ride today before coming back and pairing it with my Wahoo KICKR Snap for a workout.  In addition to being super impressed by the K2, I'm sure I'll have more questions.

Again, thank you for the great customer service.

    +1 on this feature

Wahoo computers can control a smart trainer and "re-ride" a route indoors i.e. simulating the grade according to the elevation data in the route file. I believe Garmin can do it too. It would be great to incorporate it into Karoo software - for those times when you don't have access to Zwift or just fancy re-riding your favorite local route indoors.

I would love this feature. Wahoo allows you to follow a course and adjust grades etc, Garmin does one better and allows you to post the virtual route as a map to Strava. This is a feature I would love on the Karoo2.

This does require one subscription but I've been uploading my ride data to RWGPS (free) then exporting it to the Rouvy route editor (paying member) and saving it as a local route there. I then upload it to Rouvy where it lives in my "Created Routes" folder. Works pretty well and does not require the Karoo 2 to be used indoors.

Edit: Thinking back it may be possible to follow my method without the Rouvy paid subscription. I joined right around the same time that I started porting rides over from the HH dashboard so accessing them in free user mode may work.

Would love to see this come to the K2.  I am training for a 12 min uphill time trial and a week out wanted to pre-ride the course and get an idea of my power/effort I should dial in...   I use to be able to do this with my Wahoo Element and my Garmin 810.  Guess I'll dust off the Garmin, but not everyone has multiple bike computers :)

    Hello,

Any update on this? Is there an easy way to do this? with TrainerRoad? with TrainingPeaks?

    Best,

    Cedric

Another feature still missing? There are other computers I can buy that have this feature. Being able to re-ride and/or simulate resistance on a trainer for a route with known gradients would put you on par with other computers.
