Improve indoor cycling and a design fault
AnsweredHi,
after playing around a bit with my karoo 2 I can say that I'm pretty happy but I have a couple of things to point out:
First of all the design of the USB port with a separate cap is not ideal, usually, all these kinds of devices have the protection cap attached in some way so that when it is opened it is still attached to the device. The design of the Karoo 2 in this regard is faulty, it is too easy to lose the cap (and I already did with the first one). I understand that you state that you have a waterproof port but it Is not ideal to get it wet for a long time, especially if you want to charge the device afterward, even high-end waterproofs devices (such as phones) have protections that don't allow you to charge the device if they recognize that the port is wet.
Another thing that is not well implemented is the indoor cycling part. I would expect some data fields so that we can build our own profile for indoor cycling in which we can control the smart trainer (EX: my Wahoo Elmnt auto recognize a smart trainer and automatically sets a profile in which you can control the trainer in different ways: target wats, resistance, simulated slope). As someone already mentioned also a simulation of a loaded GPX or route would be very nice (again the Elemnt can do this)
That being said Keep up the great work!

Diego, Ideally you shouldn't need it, and we included it in the later batches only after few customers reached out for samples.
The workout app will be improved as it exists in the backlog of plans. There are no immediate plans and currently, we are looking for integrations and partners, before this can be considered.
