No IT won't . But YOU can pair it with multiple bikes and trainers.

    Locus of control and all.

You have to manually select and toggle sensors and often rearrange the Sensor Priority.

Piece of cake and seldom adds more than 10 minutes to the ride.

Not true . At least in my hands there is no need to switch / reorganise the sensors to let them work. If you remain on your sensor settings for more than 2 minutes they go from "search" to "not found" and i imagine that then K2 don't scan for the (genuinly) missing ones anymore.

I have been now recording rides simultaneously on K2 and edge 820 for more than 30 hours. It is true than edge 820 will find sensors more rapidly (in my hands) than K2 , but then it is stable on K2 and lately sram gears were better displayed on K2 than on edge 820 (some temporary blackouts on edge) over my whole rides.

the delay in finding sensors may also happen when the sensor goes into powersaving mode, and this maybe an issue on K2 (again when compared to edge). I remember at least once i had to ask K2 for a new search of my powermeter after a  break. I don't know and can't say  if k2 would have find it on its own after some time...

Less of  a problem bike to bike, more with bike to trainer , where internal GPS has priority and needs to be toggled off.

Many of my sensor issues have been fixed with priority changes. Good tip on the sensor search strategy the device uses. Pausing has caused me to lose sensors requiring restart and it may have been the time out you mention in the wake of a sensor  going quiet.
