Why can't I remove this onscreen notification using the "go hills" profile?

  Because the up coming elevation metric only works if you have added a route and there is currently no option to hide the warning when you don’t have a route added .... to my knowledge.

  But if I add a route, the "join route" warning appears, which is not removed either

  Carlos -Join route comes when you are not on the path, or the deviated from planned route. Soon we will have a feature that shows the upcoming elevation for on the fly routing and POIs, so this will to display the elevation profile then!

  It is very annoying if they are routes that are a couple of kilometers from your house, it usually appears when you enter the route, not from the beginning
