Hi Pepper, Thanks for your input. Yes, we are looking to add these in the very near future. Looking forward to that release!

The data fields are in fact already listed here! Though, they don't seem to be available yet.

The only thing holding me back from a karoo 2 are the XERT data fields. They are the only other data fields I use on my Garmin. The only other widget is the eat/drink reminder based on how fast I'm burning calories. (Easy for me to forget to keep fueling!!)

I'm happy to read that the Xert data fields are in the pipeline. So I just want to add another vote for this request.

I'll be placing my order as soon as the Xert data field integration is available. :)

Can I add another vote for the addition of Xert data fields?  I've just bought the Karoo 2, coming from a Garmin 1000 - and am thinking about whether to keep or return it.

There are so many good things about the Karoo 2; the screen is better, the built-in fields are nicer, the navigation is clearer, segments are better, and I can run Xert EBC for a much better integrated workout experience.  However, the fly in the ointment is that the only way to see Xert fields is to use Xert EBC, and in doing so I lose key functionality of the native profiles, such as radar, navigation and the fancy Karoo graphical data fields.  Radar, in particular, is critical - I don't want to ride outside without that.

I'd really like to see the following integrations available in the native profiles

    • MPA and XSS (these are definitely the most important)
    • Current power data annotated using my Xert signature, either by coloring the numbers as in the Garmin data field, or by allowing the user to configure their training power zones to auto-populate from Xert, then use the native circular-zone data fields.  Note that manual setting up of the power zones can't achieve the same effect, as Xert's coloring above threshold represents time-to-exhaustion of >3m (yellow), 3m to 30s (amber) and <30s (red) - and these numbers change dynamically depending on level of fatigue.
    • A graphical "rainbow-style" representation of MPA & Power as is shown in Xert EBC

Thought someone here might be able to help...

How do I make sure that the MPA data field (when I ride with the Hammerhead native profile) is up-to-date/correct before I go on a ride? I used it for the first time last weekend and MPA was correct but today my starting MPA was 1000. This is wrong and made me think it had been reset perhaps?

Anyway, obviously the premise of Xert is that your MPA (and the way it adjusts mid-ride) changes day-by-day so I was wondering if there was a foolproof way to make sure that MPA is all synced up with the latest data in my Xert profile?

I wonder if it's a case of opening up the Xert EBC app every time before a ride...?

    Thanks

    Dear All,

Is there something new on how to update MPA and threshold power before starting a ride?

    Tanks
