Battery life on karoo2
AnsweredGood morning all :))
I have had my karoo2 for 15 days. Update completed. Aside from the really big D + problem mentioned in a previous article, I have a big problem with battery life. I am quite surprised. When I do 100 km with 2 sensors connected for about 3:45, the screen brightness is set to 50%, the background pages removed and the Bluetooth turned off, I arrive home with 45-50% battery remaining. I find it to be very little and I find it difficult to understand why. This problem ... have you ever encountered it? Did you find a solution ?
I sent a ticket to HH and I'm waiting for their response ...
Thank you for reading me. Kisses to all ! :))

Hi, thanks for the kisses, hehe.
In my case, since the recent update it consumes more battery.
Also from the beginning when having it turned on and turning off the screen with the combination of buttons, when turning on the battery it lowers a lot of charge, this last time I turned off the screen with 42% and after 10 minutes when turning it on it marked 29% (nothing was active, no sensor either). Has it happened to me repeatedly, to someone else?best regards to all.

Hi Philippe, Sorry for the trouble caused by the sudden battery drainage. Yes, we have received your ticket and we will be getting back to you with the troubleshooting steps within 48 hours. Thank you for your patience during this time.
@Frank: From your message, battery drain from 42% to 29% in 10 minutes is certainly an unusual behavior. Could you please perform a battery recalibration procedure on your Karoo 2 and check if the issue is still repetetive? -
The following are the steps for battery recalibration:
1. Let the battery die (run to flat)- (To drain the battery fast, you can start a ride on your Karoo 2 and leave it on the table)
2. Power back on
3. Repeat power-on attempts until it will not turn on (doesn't even show boot animation - 0%)
4.Charge to 100% WITHOUT powering on the Karoo 2 (generally at least 6 hrs, dep. on the charger)
5. Once at 100% THEN power it on.
Follow the step 2&3 as it is. A simple power OFF and Power ON would not work.If the issue still persists even after following the above steps, please let me know. I will go ahead and create a support ticket to investigate the issue further.
