Hi Thane, Your assumption is right and this is one of the possibility why you are not able to create the Route as per your preference. Our mapping is also based on OSM and If you see an error "Unable to find route data for these points”,  it could mean the OSM data for cycling is not available for the Dashboard to suggest a route.

Here is the OSM link of the map: https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/614555240#map=17/40.76733/-73.94078

You can suggest changes in OSM but the time that it takes to update the changes is unknown. https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/11.25214/76.22711

The below link could be helpful for you to suggest edits on OSM:

@Hari Krishnan I love the fact that the Karoo uses OSM. Is Hammerhead giving back to the OSM-community? We, as cyclist, can often find unexplored territory. Is this somehow given back to the community that hammerhead uses for their products?

I have not used the Hammerhead Dashboard to create a route(yet), so I can speak on the RidewithGPS part.  I found two tips that seems to help.

    1) When I am creating a new route, I also open satellite view of Google maps.  Very helpful sometimes, especially when determining the bike friendliness of some roads.

    2)  I have run into similar issues going from "A to B".  Most of the time, I will just manually form a route and occasionally, you have to "make a path"-manually draw a line or lines-to connect a route.  Routing programs-Strava, RidewithGPS, etc-are great but they are not %100 accurate and probably never will be.
