Ride pausing during a ride
AnsweredThis has happened twice. Not touching the head unit and i see the orange strip at the top saying that I am no longer recording the ride. Obviously I hit it and its ok but very strange that the unit stops recoding....all other functions are active (speed/cadence etc).

Hi Peter, The "Ride not recording" notification pops-up normally when you miss tapping on the yellow square icon on the right or the bottom right button to start recording a ride after a Pause or before starting the ride.
Since you are facing an issue where the Ride Pauses without your intervention, could you please let me know if the "Auto-Pause" is enabled on your Karoo under the "Settings" App? If yes, at what threshold speed the Auto-Pause is set?

I have had the same thing happen on a number of MTB rides. A crimson warning alert pops up, stating that the ride is no longer being recorded. If I notice it, I tap the record button on the bottom right side and the computer starts recording the ride successfully. I have only seen this happen on MTB rides, never on road or trail rides. And I have ridden the same singletrack trails where this happens and it is not consistently happening on the trails and in the same areas. Aggravating to say the least. Do note that I do use the Auto-pause feature and the bike computer does properly start recording the ride when I am actually moving. These issues with abrupt termination of recording happen while I am moving and well into the ride.

I have had EXACTLY the same thing happen many times on trail mountain bike rides. I have started the ride, am riding along, and then at some point see “ride not recording”. I do not always see it right away, especially during races, and have thus had stretches of numerous rides not record. I start the ride properly, auto pause is on at 0.0, I see the ride recording, and then sometimes I look down and see the “ride not recording” message, and once I see the message (often after some time in a race) I then restart it. This keeps happening. What do I do?? I did not see any resolution to the prior post on this issue. Could it be caused by sweat dripping on unit? If so, what’s the fix??? Dan Hurdle
