Could My Karoo 2 Take HR From My Fitbit As If It Were A Sensor?

I would like to see my HR on the Karoo 2, but don't want to faff with sensors, straps and so on. I wear a Fitbit Charge 3, which monitors my HR, and both devices are paired to my iPhone... Seems a pity the Karoo 2 can't just take the reading from the Fitbit. Somehow...

  I asked this question to fit bit support about a year ago and they said their devices will not talk to anything other than their own Fitbit apps.

  Hi Geof, As Colin said, Karoo 2 will not be able to connect to the FitBit. Fitbit devices use a proprietary version of Bluetooth that only talks to the Fitbit App.

  Sure…. But why not use the fitbit SDK to call the local fitbit app on the users phone and GET the HR info that way? Or if that fails, from the web dashboard for that fitbit user? Store the OAuth creds on the Karoo and then make the calls the same way you do with the hammerhead.io dashboard? The fitbit API catalogue seems well defined and would make this easy: https://dev.fitbit.com/build/reference/web-api/explore/
