    Hi Thane,

    These suggestions are rather insightful of a user's perceptions when the TBT notifications are in action.

    Our main goal with the TBT alerts and notification was to alert the user’s peripheral vision while the rider's gaze is on the up ahead.

    Your suggestions will make a good impact during our discussions with the product team :)

    Just a small point. Peripheral vision is poor quality. It's designed to react to movements, not to focus. If your intention is to use peripheral vision, then the screen should flash and move. Perhaps black for right and white for left? I'm a new users, but because I ride in urban environments and streets are close together or I may come up to an intersection with multiple "rights", I always look down to confirm the street name. I cannot speak about others, but that's how I'm using the device. 

    Thank you for taking my comments to your production crew. Please tell them that the device is already helping me lead group rides. Looking down at printed cue sheets blowing in the wind, was just not working for me!

    #2 definitely needs sorted. The TBT notifications are so difficult to see. Especially the T-junction left and right which look impercetible at normal viewing distance. The arrow heads and contrast need to be much more obvious

    I agree on #2, it's too difficult to discern which way I'm supposed to turn when approaching a junction. I like the fact it tells me it's T-Junction, but there is not enough of a differentiation in the length or weight of the left or right branch.

    I'm only two rides in but I'm impressed. This is my only gripe... well maybe that and the lack of a jump to map screen before a turn. This is much the same issue in that I'm needing  the clarity of seeing the route on the map to know which turn I'm taking and which way because I'm not able to get that from the turn indicator alone.

    What about using the sounds? If you don't want people looking down, perhaps one beep for left and two beeps for right.

    Now that I have paid more attention to this, it really is just the T-Junction icon that needs to be redesigned imo, the others are OK and are discernible with only a quick glance.

    However, if the goal is to be able to rely solely on the turn notification and not have to have the map displayed all of the time then there needs to be some way of showing turns that are in close proximity to each other e.g.

    1. A left turn in 50m, immediately followed by a right turn should not just show a left turn. I'd like to know from the turn indicator graphic that I need to be prepared for that immediate right turn.

    2. If see a turn indication that says turn left in 100m but there is in fact a left turn at 50m and another at 100m there is a good chance that when I'm concentrating on traffic as I was yesterday that I'm going to take the first left turn, i.e. the wrong one.  Ideally the notification would show me that I need to ignore the first left turn and take the second one.

    I don't know how the TBT routing works, perhaps it's not possible for the Karoo to know that there is another junction between me and the turn I actually need to take

    I couldn't agree more with the need to update / enlarge / redesign the navigation symbols / icons. I am long-sighted so need reading glasses. I can't make out the tiny T Junction symbols so have to scroll to the map or stop so I can squint at the display. So much real estate available in the yellow navigation bar when it is on display, why make the icon so small (esp if you are relying on peripheral vision)??

    This issue was raised one year ago and, apart from a single response from the Hammerhead team, nothing has happened. Chalk another score up to "hammerhead don't care' box!
