After the last update (2/25) I experienced something similar with my device reflecting Central Time (I'm in Pacific). For my issue, it was connecting to a hotspot that is based out of the Central Time zone. When I reconnected to my local wifi, it updated automatically to the correct time zone.

Hi Ket, and Chris - this particular issue was solved many updates ago. Sorry to see if this is still affecting some of the devices. It is important that we have a GPS lock for it to trigger the auto-update. So please let me know if that is all good at your end, and we will get this fixed.

Hi all.  I seem to be fighting this issue even after the last few updates.  I'm currently way doing some riding in Colorado but mostly ride on the east cost.  My time continues to show the east cost setting.  I have all switches set to auto but the device refuses to show the 2 hour difference adjustment?  Any thoughts what might be going on?  I would think my GPS is locked as my rides are showing the accurate routes.

    thanks

OK,  so I think a few toggles and reboot finally got the unit to recognize location.  Not sure why it didn't show during rides?

This has been happening on and off for me too...happened today...it's set on auto and network generated time zones, but for some reason picked a different one...waited for GPS lock, didn't correct...manually toggled the time zone stuff and it corrected briefly...but then reverted for the rest of the ride. I felt righteous riding at 2am...but would like suggestions on the fix for this please.

And a twist on this is when I have it set manually it synced with strava out of time. Said I started a ride 3 hours after I did. This is the same 3 hour time difference when it auto time zones. It’s like it override the manu time zone when it sent to strava. Help please

This happened to me today! Woke up and went to work at 16.42 according to K2 - had to manually reset time. (It was 8.42 in the UK!)

Happens to me too often. Last time I used my Karoo2 was in Colorado in August 2022. Accident so today was first IRL ride since then. I’m in Florida now. Out on a ride and noticed the time was about 2:20 off the actual time. My location / GPS was working fine. Speed l, etc. finish ride and started troubleshooting. Restarting now but honestly this isn’t really acceptable. The time zone should be easy because the location is working. The time itself should come from the GPS or cell towers / wifi (even if not connected). Lots of other devices manage to get this right with no problem. It really ought to be seamless with Karoo.

For the record, after the restart, the time was correct. But still, I shouldn’t have had to go through all this for time.
