Hi Richard, we will be releasing this on the KarooOS in the upcoming software update. You can see a preview on the Dashboard already under Settings.

That's brilliant!  The only thing that's missing is the (admittedly, rather odd) requirement to use miles, but meters rather than feet for distances to a junction.  That might seem a bit of an odd request, but in the UK we're pretty-much all metric, other than using miles for long distances (because they're on road signs).

I think you’re going to make quite a few Users happy with this one. Although not my personal preference, I’ve seen this request come up quite a lot. Well done HH - I’m sure this will be appreciated

Yes, really good to see this finally being implemented, Ali. I know this has been a very popular request for a long time now.

Technically, "Mixed" should be part of the radio button group since it's neither "Metric" or "Imperial" if you make a custom selection. At the moment, no radio button is selected when you make a custom selection, which is slightly odd UI.

I redrew it for you. You might want to share this with your dev team:

@Steve I like what you outlined on the right image and I agree with you. After all that's the purpose of how a "Radio button" generally should work - let you select only one item from the group of options.

While what Ali presented is that I could select Metric and then go into Mixed and over there select all imperial units. That's illogical view. Even tho as a user who set it this way, I know what I'm about to. I'm just saying that from UI perspective it's odd.
