    Hey Robert,

You should be able to upload the rides over the SIM too, and that's one of the most used Karoo functionalities without a Wi-fi connection.

However, please make sure you are using a cellular SIM card. Are you able to perform any other internet functions over the SIM card? such as importing routes on the device, creating routes or downloading offline maps.

I just tested this after a short walk at lunchtime today and I was able to upload my ride (walk!) without a wi-fi connection using only the SIM card inside the K2.

FWIW, I am using a Pay As You Go Data SIM rather than a Cellular SIM and it seems to have worked without any problems.

I just ordered a Tello sim here in the USA, 1GB plan, no minutes for $4.50 a month for the 1st 6 months then its $6 a month. The sim cost was $2, so no biggie there. Should have the SIM card this week and I will test. Jonathan Haydu recommend  this SIM as he has it working with no issues. Hope this helps others with SIM questions, at least here in the USA.

This has been working fine for several months now, I'm using a Verizon SIM

I used to have an issue when switching from cellular to WiFi (arriving home and uploading a ride while the K2 switches to use home WiFi) but I don't recall any recent hiccups.
