Software updates have always been delivered on Thursdays after noon EST, usually every two weeks.

Looks like the Software Release notes page has some issues because I do not recall there being an update yesterday (7th April) as suggested on this page. I don't know what is up with that page.

I am anticipating a software update to arrive sometime after noon EST today.

I think what Krzysiek is saying is that the date of the latest update (March 25) has been changed to April 7. Or that indeed the Software Release Notes page is not functioning properly.

Yes, the 7th April date is misleading on that page. I'm not sure why it says 7th April because as long as I can remember software updates have only ever been delivered on Thursdays, every two weeks.

Hopefully one of the Community Managers will be along shortly to let us know what's up with the Software Release Notes page...

I noticed yesterday that the update from 25.3.21 was not displayed on the European website while it was displayed on the US site.I have pointed out yesterday the support of Hammerhead. They have now corrected, unfortunately, they have the date of yesterday indicated. On the US website it is correctly indicated.
@Krzysiek, the guys from Hammerhead do very good work and I would have a little more patience.
At Garmin and wahoo also not everything runs smoothly.

When it comes to Garmin, it is much worse in solving problems, but we get a device programmed with more functions as input.
In my opinion, Wahoo is currently a better device than the Karoo 2. Karoo has great potential but also has basic shortcomings that can be solved easily - hence my lack of patience.
It would be much better if Hammerhead had a schedule of what he plans to improve. Then you wouldn't have to wait and think, but it was clear that, for example, the device will be fully usable for me in a month, two or five ...

How do you know that this problems can be solved easily? Garmin has years of experience and (probably) hundreds of employees and they still fighting basics problems like incorect elevation, sensors drops, phone pairing problems amongst any others. So maybe it's not that simple as you may think?

Wahoo also had problems with basic functions when they released Elemnt and they struggled to fix it for many months (although they could smooth things out by know, I'm not on their beta testers forum anymore).

So, please, be patient. I would rather give Hammerhead people few more days to release polished update than rush things to meet 2 weeks schedule.

So I come from the Wahoo Roam, it is not better but not worse than the Karoo 2.For my purposes, the Karoo is already well usable, it always depends on your own needs.
But I agree with you a little more transparency from Hammmerhead would be very good.

I am so far satisfied and the Karoo is also constantly being improved, and let's be honest bugs you will find with any device none is perfect and I have already had some would be Wahoo Bolt, Garmin 830, Karoo1, Wahoo Roam and now the Karoo 2
I think the Karoo has what it takes to be one of the best bike computers. The battery could be better I think that is my biggest criticism but for my needs it is enough.

Ornaled please ... If changing the sound pitch (because the ultrasound is hard to hear) or moving the arrow to the bottom of the navigation screen overwhelms the software team, then Hammerhead will be completely doubted. ;-)

I am not talking about serious problems that take a long time to diagnose somwhere inside software, I am talking about little things that should be corrected immediately.

You excuse my frustration, I like the K2, but considering how much money I spent on it, after all the beautiful commercials I was expecting to get the final product.

It may be a matter of priorities. Frankly I would focus first of more important issues and than move to polishing. From what I read on this forums I think they are more important issues right now (like sensors drops) than beeps or arrow position on the map. But of course I also understand that every user got different view on what is more important so yeah, it can be frustrating to see them not being work on :)

Agreed on priority's, need to fix and be confident of stability before any new changes take place. Many of us are having to deal with lost rides ATM and it is critical this bug as well as others get fixed.

I love the last update but would rather lose improvements made for a more stable platform.

I’ve had Garmins 800,810,820 and 830 and I have to say the 830 has been rock solid for me. Using the K2 today for the first time reminded me a little of using the 820 in terms of losing my power meter sync halfway thru the ride (and worse, the data from the power meter to the K2 in that first half was pure junk with miles of 0w recorded even though cadence was recorded) and at the end the ride not getting synced with Strava. The 820 was very much like this, extremely flaky, software side.

While the 830 really has been rock solid, I was interested in checking out the screen that reviewers really raved about and it really is head and shoulders above Garmins. The speed at which you can pan the map (although it kept swiping to the next screen quite a bit) is much more like a smartphone and the clarity of the map and routing is brilliant. One other +1 for K2 was the speed of rerouting and it didn’t just want me to U turn like Garmin does.

I guess what I’m saying is for a fledgling device HH have really got something here vs bigger competitors that have been in the game much longer. I just hope they get to the 830’s level of stability sooner than Garmin did.
