Interested too in having the possibility to acknowledge the low battery warnings such they won’t pop up anymore until the end of the ride

That is a good suggestion and one that I will pass up the chain - with smart light integration being a new feature for us, it will likely receive some refinements along the way.

I will say, I am not a software developer so this may not be as easy a fix as it seems on the surface - sometimes things that seem easy are not! Thanks for the suggestions and keep 'em coming - we get our best ideas from the community!

Just adding that repetitive low battery warning is not only a varia issue but a sensor general one: sram etap, di2, powermeter being among them

I had the same issue with ab BT sensor - and a low battery issue with ant+ sensors.

I think a "red bubble" in the sensor quick menu would suffice to remember us that there is something going on.

Or just have it as a normal Notification like the "Upload Complete"

This suggestion seems very good, put in red the sensors icon seems enough and not intrusive.

It's the same problem with the 'low battery' warning for the Karoo itself, it obscures data fields and you can't dismiss it.

How has nobody spotted this before releasing it?

I came here to make this same request / complaint with respect to my power meter battery. I was out on a long ride, but I had no ability to take action on the battery until the ride ended. There was no value added from the constant notifications, after the first it was instead the opposite of helpful. Please just give me a chance to acknowledge the alarm condition and let me move on with my ride in peace (and quiet).

I have this issue as well with the battery on my power meter.  It sucks that you can't swipe it away because I know that the battery is now low.

The way I remove it is to reseat my battery.  Then the low battery goes away.

It will do this every couple of rides, even with a fresh battery. Always saying it's low when it isn't.

Batteries measured with a multimeter and show correct voltage.  But once I reseat it, the Karoo 2 will again indicate the proper voltage in the calibration menu.

+1 on Update for non-clearable and repeated non-critical warning messages

This may be working as designed. It is not working as desired. (not a bug… an feature enhancement request)

As a Karoo 2 user on a any ride (long, short, race…), I would like to clear any low battery alerts (battery, power, …) once and not have it repeat, so that I can finish out my ride without the large red warning on my screen distracting me, obscuring the most meaningful data (top of the screen entries) for the duration of the ride.”

    Suggested fix:

    • Tap once on a warning pop-over to clear any non-critical warning (low battery)
    • Do not show the same non-critical warning again for the duration of the current session

    Stretch goal:

    • Summarize cleared warnings on ride summary screen as a helpful reminder

I even DELETED the sensor (Garmin Varia tail light yesterday) in order to remove the warning. No luck — even with the radar and tail light completely removed, the warning continued to show. Today I had the same issue with a Trek tail light (guilty of some poor battery charging practices) — and again could not clear by deleting. Rebooting completely did remove the warning.

UX design is a lot of fun. This device a much larger “Design System” opportunity than the existing players. So much room to make you device suck less than the competition.

What is the scale of warnings? No idea. Two are obvious… but there is room for “grey.”

    • Critical? — Off route?
    • Non-Critical — Low Battery

What is the range of required interactions? No idea. There are two that are obvious,

    • Manually cleared by tapping to acknowledge
    • Auto clear after xx seconds AND allow user to manually clear before end of time limit

What are the all the types of alerts? No idea. So far, I’ve only heard one alert tone. Would like to have different tones for different alerts - especially in workouts — over target, under target, back within target
