Strava Live Segment Sync - is it just overloaded sometimes?
AnsweredI star some segments in prep for a ride but then my Karoo 2 won't sync them. Worse, it doesn't give an error either.
Is this happening to others?
3 times this happened recently, 2 were immediately after Karoo software updates, and the 3rd I rebooted 3 times, resolved later by waiting some hours.
Could it be that there's a limit on the strava API that Karoo is running into or so? Or do others have a solution?
cheers

It's quite possible that syncing live segments is suffering from the same Strava rate limited API that syncing rides is experiencing at the moment (but I cannot be sure on this).
Lots of data points in this thread:

Yes, agreed. An error message should be shown when syncing live segments failed (I'm pretty sure I've seen one before).
Also, this feels like one of those things that Hammerhead should limit to syncing once every 15 minutes or so to prevent unnecessary, excessive, Strava API calls. Actually, it does look as though they have limited this, which is good to see:

I do not understand the limitation in the "Strava Live Segment" is the limit of 100 (one hundred) segments.
It does not make sense.
Removing and adding segments to favorites in "Stravie" before each activity is frivolous.
After all, it often happens that in a group we spontaneously choose a direction unknown before leaving home.
I reported this limit to support because there was no mention anywhere that such a low limit existed at all, but they just suggested "removing the segments and choosing the ones we will go to today".I was under the illusion that "K2" would be a better numerator than "Elemnt" and "Roam" - I was wrong.
