Last Software Update--Varia Display and Battery Issues

I’m having major issues with my Karoo 2 since updated software last week—

Varia not working properly—no alert sound (checked settings and they are set appropriately) and there is no only a very thin line that changes colors on left side of screen with no vehicle avatars at all. Unpaired it and then paired again (both light and radar) and still not working properly.
Battery life has deteriorated dramatically—I did a century on Sat—total of 5 hours riding and 5.5 hours including stops and at end of ride only had 13% power left. Previously, I was get about 10% battery drain per hour.

Anybody have suggestions on fixes? I emailed support last night but haven't received a response yet.
