offline maps gone after changing account
AnsweredJuhu,
first of all: Thx, great device. I´m really happy with it.
There are only some minor things, I don´t like (or doing wrong)..
I´m using it with my son, so we change login and logout often as we have different hammerhead-karoo-accounts.
But, for every login an internet-connection is needed. Annoying...
But really bad is: the two accounts dont use the same offline-maps. After every login, the offlinemaps are gone and must be downloaded again and I think this uses new additional data-space.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a possible thing to optimise the karoo?

Hi Paul! I can provide some insight here...
So it has to connect to sync every time you change users because all of the individual settings and data are stored in the cloud as part of the HH account. When he logs out and you log in, all of his data is cleared from the device, including maps. Maps are also tied to that login because each user could have different maps installed in their profile. After his info is removed, all of your data, rides, routes, maps, etc sync to the device.
This process actually allows 2 users to share a device without using additional device space because only the data for the logged-in profile is stored on the device. It also means that if your device is lost or broken, when you receive a replacement and log in, all of your settings and data will be restored to your new device automatically.
I hope that this helps to explain things a bit!
