Off route navigation and battery drain
AnsweredHad my first battery issue during a 5 hour ride recently. Was navigating a route until the turnaround point @ approximately 2 hours, when I decided to go off route and add some extra mileage. As I know of no way to stop or pause navigation during a ride, during the next hour the K2 was continually trying to navigate back to the original route. I'm assuming this was the cause of a much higher than normal battery drain, and the battery save mode was automatically enabled at about the 4.5 hour mark. A method to stop or pause navigation in ride would certainly be preferable to ending and then restarting during a ride.

Hi Bruce,
I am sorry that you experienced that on your ride! Your assumption is correct - when you are off course and it is trying to reroute you, it does work the processor and drains the battery more quickly.
Here is a tip to remove a route from your ongoing ride, as well as access some other handy features. While in the ride app, press buttons A and C (the top 2) together to access the quick actions menu.
From there, you'll be able to lock/unlock the touchscreen, add/remove routes, route to home, and route to start!
