    Hey Scott,

    Thank you for posting!

We are glad to know that you are enjoying the Live Segments on the Karoo! We do have a host of improvements & implementations planned around the Live segment. I will be sure to add your suggestions to the list as well :)

    Yeah, I really would!

    • Target power - static from power curve against PR time
    • Target power - dynamic, like Xert's segment hunter
    • +1 for segment average power
    • similar to workouts, indicate whether I need to go strong or not

What I do now is work out my target power before I go out, I have instant and 30s power displayed to regulate.

Whatever you could do here would be a killer feature!

@Benno I agree the text in the segment pop up is often hard to read. We’re talking about the data fields on the page itself, not the popup/tray. On Garmin they have segment specific data fields. I didn’t even use the segment page when I’d go segment hunting on my garmin. Just the raw numbers.

Not all at once :)  Either:

    • Dynamic power target + instant power
    • static target power + segment average power + instant power

It would be fantastic to be able to customise the fields on the strava segment overlay itself - I don't really need elapsed time or distance, for example.

But data fields also work, as 6 are still visible with the segment overlay. I'm now using 3 for power - instant, 30s, Xert MPA, so it's  the same net fields.

@Benno, this feature would definitely be for hunting KOMs rather than exploring new segments. I already have a data page set up for segments that I’d go to before the start of a segment, but the additional fields would augment that.

Thought of a hack to try on my next ride: use lap avg power and just start a lap at the segment start.

Oh yeah it worked! I set a target of 270w, I was able to be very consistent with this and ended up with 267w at the end of 20min. New FTP on strava +5w, beat my PR of 16:32 with 15:12! Didn't even know this because I was focused on the av. and instant power, I totally ignored the SLS and missed the celebration at the end.

I wish when moving up the segment tab full window i could see this information.

Yes as suggested by some above displaying the avg Power for my PR (on that full display) would be great. avg Heart rate for my PR would be interesting too ((ie for those not having a Powermeter) . there is still lot of space available for these data to be visible on the full tab display

+ 1 for avg power for the live segment (so i don't need to press lap button to get that information)

+ 99 for live estimated time to end of segment (based on closest PR or Karrot or wolf or KOM  recorded time to end)

I know orange strava is a kind of trademark , but numbers become hard to read as it stands now (relative to black on white or white on black). so if you have no kind of stated aggrement that you should use that orange, please find better contrasted colors than black/orange.

With The last FW update we now can see before it starts the different times and it is great. Hammerhead please a little more effort with displaying at least the PR time so one can estimate how long to end of segment. Of course if Karoo could do the math for Estimated time to End that would be great. there is enough space: here is my proposal:

Here The ETE (Estimated time to End) is based on my PR, i.e. 11:27-37s (elapsed time) + 21s (time behind PR).

It could be better estimated (as a % of my PR or closest opponent, taking into account time behind/ahead at the time math is done.

I also had the avg Power for my PR and the Avg Power for the live Segment. that would be so great.....

    Hi All,
We’ve added Strava Live Segment data fields as a data type in the profile editor.
You can find more information in our help article: https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/25601968015515-Karoo-OS-Strava-Live-Segments
    Thank you!

Oh sounds cool. The article doesn't describe the data fields though there are screenshots. Can we get live average power for the segment (like lap power)?

Yes +1  for the Segment Avg Power! not always easy to press the lap button (and eventually remove the map display/drawer before doing that) to get the Segment avg power

And I Wish We could have an other Data Field : the Estimated Time to End of Segment:

Formula is rather simple: PR-Segment Time -Time ahead/behind
