Yes can confirm that the fixing of cadence dropping out from power meter has reintroduced the previous bug that power meter not waking from break. I mean come on guys.....

This is very annoying. Stopping for coffee and then have to re connect manually the power meter.

The number 1 job of a bike computer is to record the ride with all the sensors. Everything else is fluff.

Please stop whatever else you're doing and fix this now.

    Hello all,

Sorry for the inconvenience here - yes we have seen some recent reports of this. It is unfortunate and we are looking into the issue and hope to correct this very soon.

The workaround is as discussed above. Going back into sensors reconnects them. If the problem is persistent (they don't just reconnect when viewing in the sensors tab) the sensors can be toggled off and back on to refresh the connection and reconnect to all sensors.

Thanks for your patience - sensor and power meter stability are a very high priority!

I also have this problem, after a stop power meter (power tap) and cadence need to be reset.

    Thanks

Can confirm same behaviour with Inpeak power meter. Toggling sensors off and on solves it until next pause.

Having drop out issues too.  While riding, if I freewheel/stop pedaling I notice that the unit will display "Searching" for Power and Cadence.  It eventually finds it and power/cadence display but that didn't happen before last update.  I also have had issues after pausing where the unit drops Power/Cadence entirely and then displays "Not Found" for either on my profile page.  As noted above, I have had to go into sensors and retoggle to find Power Meter ....

@Mike Gretkowski: I've experienced this kind of issue few times too. However reading release notes of 1.210.1045 which I just installed, there might be fix for this. So let's see....

I thought it had been fixed until I updated my unit this week and today stopped to fix a flat and it happened again.I had trouble finding how to get to the sensor screen while following a route (brevet) and didn’t want to restart the ride.

This is a pain in the butt, I just want to get on my bike and ride and not deal with this problem.

Problem is still there with the latest update, today dropped the power meter twice on my ride, even with very short stops.

What is taking so long to fix this. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Factory reset didn't do anything for me, other than making me waste a ton of time.

At this point it's either a defective unit or incompetent software developer....

I don't see how this issue is "answered" - yes somebody responded, it is not fixed

This is still an issue. After a pause, sensors (hrm, power, cadence) keep dropping out for extended periods. Reconnecting the sensors manually doesn't result in a stable connection.

Hi Steve, could you please share the FIT file and the device serial number with us in an email to support@hammerhead.io?

This might be something else entirely though, you could maybe try switching from one interface to the other (ANT+ to BLE or vice versa) to see if that changes anything? For what it’s worth, reconnecting sensors after a pause didn’t work for me earlier either, but since the fixes maybe half a year ago, it has worked just fine here.

    Ali, sent the requested info

Anna, thanks but considering I only have 2 sensors connecting to the K2 via ANT+ I would think that the K2 can handle that. The max # of ANT+ sensors, at the moment, for the K2 is 15. I will try switching the power meter to BLE but in my opinion the K2 should be able to handle pause / unpause for 2 sensors regardless if the connections are via ANT+ or BLE.

Am in touch with Hammerhead support, hopefully they can sort it out.

It’s not the number of sensors I was thinking of but rather some potential random incompatibility between the sensors and the head unit that somehow only manifests itself on the one interface but not the other. Just saying that it is worth trying... (For comparison, Zwift is notorious with these kinds of issues and the working interface sometimes changes from one to the other as they release new bugs.)
