map unavailable

I've been sat here for well over 5 hours and a route I imported from RWGPS is still showing as "map unavailable: download map". When I tap "download map", absolutely nothing happens. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Not even a wee icon to hint at something happening in the background.

The route is not set as private on RWGPS so it can't be that.

It is a long route (4,500+ km) but it is all in one country (Scotland) and I already have the Great Britain map downloaded so I would not have thought length or file size would be an issue.

I need/want it as one route because it is a multi-day endurance race/tour that I am about to undertake and, whilst I have some daily stopping points in mind, most of the night stops will be completely spontaneous and unknown in advance and I need/want to be able to record the whole tour as a single, continuous race.

Any ideas why it won't download to K2 and how to fix this?

After adding a new route your karoo has to calculate something and incorrectly claims the map is not available. I recently did a 40 km ride and had to wait for 5 minutes for the calculation to finish. I can imagine a 4500+km route would take a bit longer.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
It appears the route length is not supported & will need to be split. Anything less than 1200mi. should correct this issue.
Is it possible for you to split & load the route according to the sections you will be traveling that day?
