The behaviour of button D changed a couple of releases ago.

It looks as though you now have to go into:

    Settings > Apps > {App_Name} > Force Stop

If you don't see the Apps menu item, you may need to turn on Developer Mode.

    Thanks Steve.

This could be used as workaround but the function to close all apps is build in android. It was working before. I think they don't know it was not working.

At least they could update there "Troubleshooting" section.

Please read the manual or the change logs. You can do it by double pressing button B.

Double pressing was the way it work before they changed the home screen.

Maybe my karoo 2 is faulty. I already did a hardware reset.

Hi All, there should not be a need to stop this app from the Developer option. The button D if you long press for more than 5 sec resets the Karoo, which is why the app switcher button was moved over to button B. Erwin, if you are not able to get it to work, please record a short video and share it with us in an email to support@hammerhead.io and we will take care of it, in case of any hardware faults.

It seems you can only achieve this by double pressing button B from the Home screen. It doesn't work for me when in any other app.

It only works from the Home screen. (B button)

I'm pretty sure this is a regression and users were able to double click button D previously to launch the app switcher from within any other app.

The problem now is that button B is typically used to go back to the previous screen which is why double clicking it doesn't work. Double clicking button B goes back 2 screens now rather than launching the app switcher.

You now have to go back to the home screen before you can kill an app by double clicking button B (from the home screen).

After long pressing D and the following reset, all of my profiles were gone (just a blank screen), same with routes. I think the reset led to file system corruptions. I had to factory reset the unit.
