Moving from 1030

First ride yesterday with the Karoo 2. Initial impressions are very good but 2 omissions make me question the move from my 1030.

No auto-lap. This isn’t a deal breaker but I was surprised it wasn’t there. I’ve seen other posts asking for this so it would be good to know that it is on the roadmap.

No Di2 alerts. This one is a potential deal breaker. Having the head unit let me know that a chainring shift is next, particularly when going from the big ring to the small ring, is something I do rely on. The 1030 does this both audibly and with a message on screen. This has been mentioned before but I can’t see anything to say it’s being considered as a future enhancement.

I’d welcome feedback from Hammerhead.

Hey Ian,

Thanks for posting, Glad to know you are enjoying the Karoo! We do have plans to implement Auto-lap & Di2 alerts onto the Karoo and it is present on our product road map.

We are looking at first optimizing the software a bit further before you roll towards more feature implementations. We prioritize each request based on our community's response and needs. If there is an urgent request from many of our riders, the priority might change.

Good to know that both are on roadmap. It’d be great to get some visibility of the roadmap subject to the usual roadmap caveats that nothing is a commitment, priorities can change etc
