    Hey All,

We have identified the root cause behind the login issues on the dashboard and our team has ensured to resolve it! We do sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused and we have taken necessary countermeasures to avoid such issues in the future.

Thank you for your continued support :)

yep, it's down and probably lost my ride. Had problems earlier today already on the dashboard but the Karoo 2 seemed to be fine. Now it's all screwed up. Not being logged in makes the karoo unusable, no preferences, no profiles, no nothing. Wasn't expecting that

And nobody replying, not a good sign

Yup, still down. But on the plus side I skipped a training ride as I couldn't download my scheduled session and just enjoyed a fun smash of some lovely roads instead.

It's been down for at least 4 hours for me.

Server is returning HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable: Back-end server is at capacity

I guess Hammerhead don't employ any SRE, or at least, none that are on-call at the weekends ;)

I'm not expecting 4 9's uptime but seriously, the dashboard being unavailable for hours on end is not cool.

I believe the dashboard is hard down. Nothing displayed and no synchronization of services.  It's returning a 503 which is a service unavailable error. Something either was changed and unaccounted for, or there is a coding issue on the server side of things.

I have just bought my karoo2 and I'm not able to create account in the dashboard...I´m glad to know it's a global problem and really angry that I'm not able to use my new device.

I wish I could Jeffrey W but when I start-up my Karoo 2 all of my rides, routes etc have disappeared, so it looks as though my profile has been blitzed.

This seems like a really good opportunity to implement a way that users can download their activities directly from the device without the dashboard. It's android, if you can do this with your cell phones, it can be done with the karoo devices. Give us an option in the activity screen or something where we can choose manual download of activities.

I just turned mine back on and all of my rides are still there..... Isn't that info stored on the unit rather than on the server?

Same as Ben, all my rides and routes on the Karoo are gone atm. If that isn't something that will fix itself once dashboard is back up I'm going to be incredibly pissed.

If you go to the other threads on the hammerhead site there's a lot of discussion including comments from the company that they're working hard to try and fix this

Your rides should not have been deleted.

Connect to your computer via USB.

This can be done, but the process is agonizing. With an Android based OS, getting your files off the device manually should be super user friendly.

I read through the instructions and it looks pretty involved.... I'm going to wait. My 5-year-old Garmin Edge lets me download straight from the device through a USB cable without having to do anything else.

Agree. This is an Android device, but it’s primary function is as a dedicated GPS. At this price range, the Karoo does a lot.

Reality is, no GPS is perfect.
